Mother Nature sure showed her ugly side over night! We woke to a nasty blizzard! Schools were closed, businesses were closed, or closing early as no one could make it in to work. John had the day off, as there was no way he was going to make it to Greenville! Even his boss couldn't make it, and he lives in Greenville.
We received over 2 feet of snow in some areas, more in others with the drifting. It took us a while to get our doors open so we could get out and shovel. After an hour of shoveling, my neighbor hollered over saying that I should be inside making cookies. Then said he would finish our front walk if I whipped up a batch of said cookies. Oatmeal raisin to be precise... thankfully I had some raisins in the house, so I headed in, started some coffee for John, and cocoa for Trent then got busy on the cookies.
We later had to go back out, as the plows came by (only one time, mind you. So our nicely redone street that they fixed over the summer, had turned back into a very narrow alley, sigh) and shoved more snow back in the drive. We had to get it out, or there would be no way either of us could get out of our drive. We then, headed across the street to shovel the end of our neighbors drive way, which she was thankful for, then over to the other neighbor's drive as well. We finally called it quits.
